As a Technical Sales Manager, you will be a true multitasker. You will balance between being a business owner and an account manager, focusing on product and market development while managing customers in both geographical and demographic market areas. You'll be fully engaged in optimizing new revenue and profitability. Your customer portfolio is diverse, covering a wide range of products. You will be the driving force behind innovation and development projects that generate profitable new business, such as fine-tuning pricing strategies, creating improvement plans, and achieving higher margins than ever before.

PROFILE

  • HBO+/WO education in a technical direction, e.g. Technical Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum of five years' work experience as Sales Manager or (Key) Account Manager in a technical b-to-b environment.
  • Experience in an international environment, affinity with strategic technical sales processes, preferably in the sale of specialist technical components.
  • Demonstrable strategic insight and excellent communication and social skills.
  • Ambition to grow further and you have leadership skills.
  • Personal characteristics: enthusiastic, result-oriented, analytical, customer-oriented, entrepreneurial, determined and flexible.

A unique sector

While studying Technical Business Administration, I started working for a supplier in the automotive industry. After some wandering around, I've now been working in this sector at Vernay flow control solutions for over 3.5 years.

As someone with a great affinity and interest in engineering, it's fun to be part of the many new developments in the automotive industry. Due to the broad applications of Vernay products, these can range from products for seat comfort systems to emission systems for the latest generation of internal combustion engines and even the current transition to alternative propulsion systems such as; hybrid, fully electric and fuel cells. Working as a Sales Manager in this sector and within Vernay, provides many challenges requiring a high degree of independence and responsibility.
