Account Manager
Specialty, something special!
I have been working at Vernay for more than 23 years. With a technical background in mechanical engineering, I started at Vernay as an engineer / project leader in product development for all kinds of applications in the automotive industry and specialty customers. I had many contacts with the customers at all levels and at the same time managed project teams to implement customer-driven developments.
After some wanderings within Vernay, I have now been working as an Account Manager for a number of years. With a technical basis, I can properly assist customers and convert their questions into solutions that Vernay can offer, backed by an Vernay R&D and Engineering department. The application possibilities are very diverse within the Specialty market area. On the one hand, this is a challenge - you have to be a jack of all trades - but on the other hand, no day is the same and the work brings a lot of variation. There is a lot of room to have your own input on how you approach the market and your customers, and you will be challenged each day on your creative ability, both technically and commercially. In addition, the international character appeals to me very much. The majority of my customers and colleagues are international. That makes Specialty something very special.

Global Specialty
MBU Manager
I am in my second stint with Vernay, having been responsible for the Automotive market in North America from 2010-2015. I was happy to return in 2023 to lead the Specialty Global Business Unit to initiate a formal strategy with purposeful focus on certain markets within our Specialty business. It is an exciting time to join our team, as we fine tune this strategy and begin to tactically pursue business in the areas of our business where our value is truly appreciated. There are countless opportunities within our current customer base as well as potential new customers where Vernay can enhance performance in various applications.
Now in my 29th year in high precision elastomer solutions, I can say that Vernay has a distinct advantage as a global company that is large enough to support customers around the world, yet small enough to be nimble and efficient in our communication and support.
The European Specialty Account Manager has a great canvas to explore, in multiple markets and applications. With an enthusiastic attitude and focused determination, the position provides an opportunity for great personal and career fulfillment while contributing significantly to the overall success of Vernay. We hope you will see for yourself what Vernay has to offer and decide to become a part of an exciting culture and a great team!
