Your Challenge

As Head of Quality Management at Plasticon Composites, you will be responsible for further developing, implementing and safeguarding the quality strategy across the organisation. You will lead the Quality department and work closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and other stakeholders to continuously improve products, processes and overall customer satisfaction.

You will join an innovative and internationally operating company that designs and manufactures high-quality composite solutions for customers worldwide. In this key role, you will have a direct impact on operational excellence, quality performance and the long-term success of the organisation.

As part of your role, you will report directly to the CEO of Plasticon Composites and work closely with the international Plasticon organisation. You will regularly visit other production sites and customers across the group. Approximately 20–30% travel is expected, providing you with a broad perspective and the opportunity to further strengthen quality standards and drive continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

Tasks

Lead and further develop the Quality Management department and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Maintain and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, regulations and customer requirements.

Plan, coordinate and oversee incoming, in-process and final quality inspections throughout the production process.

Analyse quality deviations, initiate corrective and preventive actions, and drive sustainable process improvements.

Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production and Purchasing to optimise product quality and operational performance.

Prepare and maintain quality documentation, inspection reports and audit documentation, and lead internal and external audits.

Profile

HBO working and thinking level, preferably with a degree in Quality Management, Mechanical Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
Several years of experience in Quality Management or Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
Solid understanding of technical standards, drawings and production specifications, with an affinity for Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastic (GRP) en Thermoplastic Meterials (TP) and a willingness to develop expertise in composite technologies and manufacturing.
Experience with quality inspection processes; knowledge of plastics or composites is considered a strong advantage.
Structured, analytical and hands-on working style with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and leadership skills, combined with experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and MS Office.
