This nice senior HR role is an excellent career step towards a globally responsible CHRO role. You will be taking full responsibility for HR in the designated region and related countries (EMEA,650 fte.). You will serve as a leader, as a trusted advisor and business partner to management on all human resource-related issues.

The position requires a clear vision on how to ensure that HR actively contributes to the achievement of business goals and the corporate HR agenda. You think strategically and act operationally, you show drive to deliver. The challenge is to shift the HR focus step by step from operational to more strategic. You will take EMEA HR to the next level by improving the Employee Journey, its processes, policies, systems, tools and HR support.

You do what is necessary to support management in achieving KPI’s related to the goals and mission of the company. So the role also requires an effective level of business literacy about the region's financial position, midrange plans, culture and competition.

Being the HR leader in your region, you guide the operational HR colleagues, making sure that they can and will support the HR development initiatives.

Your main tasks and responsibility

  • Take EMEA responsibility for the full HR spectrum
  • Bring the long- and medium-range corporate HR strategy to life
  • Make an EMEA HR scan and develop an HR professionalisation roadmap
  • Ensure key stakeholder commitment for HR roadmap at HQ, regional and local;
  • Consult with line management, providing HR (policy) guidance when appropriate;
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management;
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues;
    • Ensure compliance with global policies, local legislation and labor agreements, etc.;
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance, partnering with the legal department as needed/required;
    • Act as a continuous improvement agent, support managers in driving change by offering expertise and tools;
    • Ensure good employee relations and working relationships with Union/Works Councils representatives at the local and regional levels as well as full compliance with applicable employment legislations. When required involve support of external consultants;
    • Manage all HR costs and provides transparent country figures on demand, strives for adequate transparency and efficiency of HR costs charged to the country and assures that global agreed upon budgeting rules are followed; Take care of accurate HR analytics and reporting in your area.

    Who are we looking for?

    You have significant experience in working within a leading international HR role, preferably in a manufacturing setting

    You have track record of success in establishing an in all respects professional Employee Journey

    You enjoy driving the HR agenda, getting things done and engage you key stakeholders

    You easily switch from strategic, tactical and operational level

    You have a strong command of HR systems and HR analytics is an advantage

    You are dedicated to driving service excellence

    Fluent in English, other EU languages like German, Dutch or Italian is a plus

    You have a high level of organisational and cultural sensitivity.
