Join our IT Team

We are looking for a hands-on and ambitious IT professional to take ownership of local IT operations at our Leiria production site in Portugal while growing into a broader international role within a fast-growing global PPE organization.

You will work in an international environment together with experienced IT professionals and external partners supporting our global infrastructure across Europe and the USA.

At Dunlop Protective Footwear, IT supports our production, global collaboration, and operations. We are looking for an IT Manager Portugal to join our international IT team. You will work with 8 IT professionals and external partners managing our global infrastructure, combining local responsibility with hands-on technical work and international exposure.

This role is not a pure helpdesk role nor a senior architect position. Although handson” mentality is required, there is plenty of room for own idea’s as IT representative of the largest production facility within Dunlop and ability to develop into a more broader IT responsibility.

Due to the growth of the company, this role can grow to “IT manager Leiria” extending responsibilities in IT and the IOT/Production area and global responsibility for core IT systems.

Your Mission?

Take ownership of all local IT operations at our Leiria production facility

Ensure stable and reliable daily IT support for office and production users

Support and optimize workplace, server, network, and production-related IT systems

Collaborate with international IT teams on global infrastructure and improvement projects

Contribute to modern cloud, ERP, and automation-related technologies and initiatives

Grow into a broader ICT leadership role with increasing global responsibilities and local team ownership

Meet the team

Your Responsibilities

Provide first- and second-line IT support for local users and production teams

Support colleagues onsite, remotely, and together with international IT teams

Manage laptops, desktops, printers, and other workplace devices

Maintain and troubleshoot local LAN, WiFi, and server infrastructure

Support local business applications and virtualized environments

Coordinate with external vendors and ensure stable daily IT operations

Your Profile

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience gained through work experience.

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including switches and WiFi

Experience with server hardware and virtualized environments such as VMware

Familiar with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration

Comfortable working with Windows 11 workplace environments, user rights, printing, and file services

Experience with Azure and Intune is considered a strong advantage
